EasyRecruitment: Maruti Recruitment Process



There is one name in Indian automobile industry which is: a benchmark when it comes to excellence, a market leader when it comes to market share (37% in November, 2012) with more than 1 crore vehicles running on Indian roads, any Mechanical Engineer’s dream. And that name is Maruti Suzuki. Maruti recruitments begins in the beginning of August and takes 3-4 months to finish up.

Job Profile: The various job profiles which are there for the taking include Shop Floor jobs, R&D jobs, Maintenance, Quality, Marketing etc. The one you will get will depend on your past record in B.Tech and the projects you did as a student in the college and interest shown by you and your performance in the probation period.

Job Location: Maruti has a plant in Gurgaon & Manesar. But, most probably, you will get Gurgaon.

Salary Offered: Maruti Suzuki provides a 5.5 lacs per annum package, give and take a few thousands.

Recruitment Process: Maruti recruitment process comprises of the following rounds:
  1. Written Test
  2. Personal Interview
Written Test is the first hurdle and it is a very tough one. The test is conducted very early in the 7th semester and after conducting the test in all the colleges simultaneously, the candidates are shortlisted for interview and are invited to their premises in Gurgaon for the same.
Personal Interview is a tricky one. There are three interview panels there at the time of interview and batches of students are randomly made for interview to a specific panel. In simple words, it is completely your luck that which panel takes your interview. It can either be a complete:
  • Technical Interview, which is the hardest.
  • HR, which is the easiest.
  • Technical Interview based on your Training, moderate one.
